  Chris Tsongas
Founder & President
Chris Tsongas Chris Tsongas started programming computers at the age of twelve when the famous Commodore 64 was released in 1982. Six years later he went to college at Willamette University, where as a computer science major he earned the department's Academic Excellence in Computer Science award while also minoring in mathematics.

During summer breaks from college, Chris began his career in the film industry. He worked as a production assistant on nearby location shoots including Kindergarten Cop starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Point Break starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves. After college, Chris joined the first group of students to enter the new computer animation program at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television.

While at USC, Chris collaborated on a ground-breaking short film starring Peter Gabriel with fellow student Breck Eisner, director of the 2005 studio release Sahara starring Matthew McConaughey. After completing his M.F.A., Chris was hired by Sony Pictures' visual effects division to program their new multi-million dollar film scanning and image processing system.

An outdoor enthusiast, Chris eventually traded working on a studio lot in Los Angeles for working on web sites in the windsurfing mecca of Hood River, Oregon. He did programming work for such recognizable national brands as Nike, Swiss Army, and Camelback before starting his own web hosting company. After building web-based file sharing tools for several hosting clients, Chris saw an unfilled need and started SpeedProjects.

Chris now lives in Seattle, Washington where in addition to SpeedProjects he runs web site development, hosting and online marketing company BitMojo, Inc. He is also the author of several booklets, including Top Ten Tips™: Getting Publicity, Top Ten Tips™: Marketing Online, Top Ten Tips™: Computer Security, and Top Ten Tips™: Stopping Spam.
